The Masters of the Mountains Race course at Hunter in 2007 was as close to the original 1991 race course as you could get. The (repaired) world cup climb, this once very rocky climb was made a lot easier, a banked bridge was added to the switchback turn. From here on, steep slopes and rocks ruled the day. The course lives up to the Hunter Mt. reputation. Once you've climbed up to the F Lift the Fun really starts. You're on your way down. Across Midbase to the Autobahn, back across the face of the mountain to the new freeride section, thru the berms into the trail named The Nasty! then back across the mountain to The Chute. The Chute is the rockiest, boulder filled 200 ft of descent in the woods. Outta the Chute down past the condos to the lodge, past the Finish line, and back up again.

The XC Course is open the weekend before the event.
